Human resources management in nonprofit organizations (comparison of different types of organizations)

The work is focused on human resource management of non-profit organizations. The aim is to describe the similarities and differences of HR management in various types of non-profit entities. In connection with this is the theory of the non-profit sector and human resource management in general discussed here. HR processes are discussed in detail. The empirical part deals with the comparison of different types of NGOs. At first, there are tested several hypotheses based on the differences between the organizations, small and medium-sized. However, primarily, they are divided according to their functions to the service, advocacy and community. The empirical part consists not only of quantitative questionnaire, but additionally also of interviews with a representative of each researched category. As the result there is a summary of differences between every single type of organizations and description of three specific cases of human resources management in NGOs.
Applying the Competence Model in the Public Business Academy

The thesis deals with the use of competences and competency model as an effective tool of personnel management of the organization. Competency - based / HR / Management (CBM) is an actively used model primarily in the commercial sphere. However, in recent years, more and more government organizations have also approached this governance model. The theoretical and empirical part of the thesis deals with the issue of acquiring and using various types of competencies, compiling a competency model and their subsequent application in personnel management. The definition of basic terms and principles of competency management is based on the study of professional literature and binding documents that link the principles of competence management to the lifelong learning strategy and learning organization models. The empirical part first deals with the actual use of competencies and competency models in the conditions of public business academies in Prague and Central Bohemia. Analysis of personnel controlling in PRECIOSA, a. s.

Bachelor thesis is focused on a personnel controlling and is realized in cooperation with PRECIOSA, a. s. The goal of this thesis was to identify strengths and weaknesses of the current personnel controlling system in the company and suggest recommendations. That leads to optimization of the system. Thesis includes theoretical and practical part. Theoretical part is focused on a basic characteristic of controlling and personnel controlling. In the practical part is described PRECIOSA, a. s. with a focus on a personnel department and personnel controlling system. Strengths and weaknesses were identified in the current system and recommendations were suggested. That leads to optimization of the system. The identification and suggestions were in progress on the basis of theoretical part and were supported by external research.
Human resources management in public administration

Institutions of Public Services are just like any other Organizations. Their job is to provide quality services for public. Just like any other service providers they depend on human resources. Work force has to be organized and properly managed. The goal of my Mater's Thesis is to proof that regular tools for human resources management being used by privately owned companies are easily and without problems usable in case of public administration. Regional Authorities of Liberec County are currently working on a project, providing contribution to completion of national strategy called "Smart Administration". My Thesis analyzes individual project activities and then evaluates values of accomplished targets for Human Resources Department. The project outputs analyses were among others based on opinions of an involved targeted group and results were collected by written questionnaires.
